DO'S
Do say ''Mingalarbar'' when meeting someone
Do use ''U'' in front of the men names and ''Daw'' in front of the women names.
Do let the oldest be served first.
Do bend slightly in front of the elders.
Ask permission before taking photographs.
Need to remove footwear at religious places.
Wear traditional clothes at least one
When entering pagodas, monasteries, and religious places, wear decent cloths. (no shorts, bare shoulders or chests, and socks), and take off your shoes
Show respect to monks, nuns, and novices
Beware of cheats, swindlers, and imposters especially on public transportation
Always collect change for use on public transportation
Always bring at least hat or umbrella to avoid extreme sun or rain
DONT'S
Don't point a finger straight in the face.
Don't sit with your back towards Buddha's image.
Don't point with your foot.
Don't touch the robe of a monk.
Don't visit restricted areas.
Don't hug or kiss in public.
Don't wear short pants when you go to the pagoda
Don't touch anybody's head
Don't touch the girls if you don't know them well
Don't point a finger straight in the face
Don't offer hand shake to monks, nuns and novices, a woman should not touch a monk,
Tuck away you feet, don't point it towards buddha images, or monks
Don't offer food to monks, nuns, and novices after noon time
Don't eat before the oldest one at the table
Don't enter into the house with your shoes on
